Barndo Building Process

Tanya’s lovely barndo sits on 15 acres of private land owned by her husband’s family. With their parents’ help, they were able to construct this stunning black house that they had envisioned and dreamt of having. It is equipped with 3 apartment-style bedrooms and was completed after 10 months. Their builder pick was the reputable Premier Custom Builders.

Since it is a barn home, they preferred a full black metal supporting frame, quite a different approach from post-frame barndo and traditional structures. Though they did not disclose the total construction cost, it might be much cheaper and more practical than building a house on concrete support.

Moving on, its whole planning was based on Tanya and her family’s desired living quarter requirements. It helped her lay out spaces that would meet the needs of her growing household.

Tanya’s Barndominium Exterior – Sleek Black

Metal Barndominiums, in general, can portray a utilitarian impression at a glance. Yet, this one has a simple barn home design. Up close, it screams bold ambiance due to the black metal walls. Its wooden porch posts and stone-clad chimney serve as accents, subtle additions to mute the flat black facade. It is indeed a unique metal house with a sleek dark color scheme. Imagine it at night, blending well with nature.
