History

Green Canopy NODE started out as two companies, Green Canopy and NODE. They merged in November 2021 to create Green Canopy NODE. Construction management

Green Canopy NODE offers construction management services encompassing all residential construction project aspects. They have project managers to help guarantee that your home gets built without a hitch and site supervisors to ensure the structure is built safely and within industry standards. The site supervisors also ensure that the final structure reflects the vision of the original floor plan and design.

Additionally, Green Canopy NODE offers feasibility, estimating, and procurement services. This service will help determine if your dream home can be built using your intended budget. Expert procurement specialists source affordable but high-quality building materials.

If you don’t have a team of builders, Green Canopy NODE also offers general construction services to help build your home. This can be beneficial since having the designers and contractors come from the same company can facilitate a more open line of communication to avoid delays in case of design changes.

Advantages and Disadvantages

This section discusses the benefits and drawbacks of working with Green Canopy NODE to help you determine if the company will be the right fit for you.

Advantages

  • Wide variety of services – Green Canopy NODE offers a wide variety of services. They have services for building both residential and commercial structures. This can help you save time since you can hire them to handle all your construction needs, from feasibility studies to design and construction.

The full packages they offer can also translate into a smoother construction phase since the design and builder work belong to the same company and will have a more open line of communication. There is also no need to interview and hire different companies for your project.

  • Carbon-negative homes – Green Canopy NODE can help build you a carbon-negative home. For one, these types of homes can help conserve the environment since they do not emit greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.

Carbon-negative homes are also cheaper in the long run since they consume less energy than traditional structures. Common features of carbon-negative homes include photovoltaic solar panels, smart home technology, and air-source heat pumps. Although they are often more expensive to build, you will reap the benefits in the long run because your house will have lower utility bills than regular houses.

A carbon-negative home can also be a healthier option for your family. They help reduce the concentrations of air pollutants, fine particulates, and other harmful chemicals. This is an excellent option because it can help prevent allergens from getting into your house. It can also be better for people with respiratory issues like asthma.

  • They sell house and lot packages – Aside from their design and construction services, Green Canopy NODE also sells house and lot packages. You can check their available house and lot packages if you want a sustainable prefabricated house but don’t have a lot yet.

This is an excellent option if you want to move into a new house immediately since they have houses ready for occupancy. For example, they have six townhomes available in Queen Anne, Seattle. Each one has three bedrooms and 2-2.5 bathrooms. The total floor area of these townhomes ranges from 1,547 to 1,750 square feet.

Disadvantages

  • Limited service area – As of the time of this writing, Green Canopy NODE’s services are only available to the Western United States, particularly Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. This means that if you are in another part of the country, like Indiana or Iowa, you need to hire another prefabricated home manufacturer.
  • A limited number of building kits – They only have one available modular home model currently. They have a mass timber model home with a total floor area of 1,200 square feet. It has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a roof deck.

They are expected to launch new modular building kits soon. In the meantime, you can use a prefab barndominium kit or pole barn kit for your structure since they are excellent alternatives when building a home.

Should You Choose Green Canopy NODE?

Yes, Green Canopy NODE is an excellent company to choose if you need a modular home. The company’s wide range of services can help make building your house an enjoyable and smooth-sailing experience. They have house and lot packages you can buy if you are pressed for time. They currently have one modular home kit model but are expected to launch more in the near future. Give them a call to learn about the exciting new models they are working on.
