The DublDom series from Moscow-based firm Bio Architects, headed up by architect Ivan Ovchinnikov. DublDom – serial modular home, designed to carry off the shelf and installed on site in one day. This affordable prefab house has all communications – electricity, water and sewage, so the area can only connect to the shared network. The package already includes all necessary sanitary equipment, furniture and household appliances. The main advantage of the project in a factory making that can significantly improve the quality and reduce the cost of the final product.
The simple modern cabins range from a 280-square-foot studio (bathroom and kitchen, included) to a 1,400-square-foot three-bedroom dwelling, with prices going for around $23,000 for the smallest model up to $100,000 for the largest. And now, after operating only in Russia for the most part, DublDom has started taking pre-orders for the United States and Europe.
DublDom is completely assembled in a factory that can significantly improve the quality of work and reduce the cost of the project. You save time on the selection of the project, finding builders, selection of materials and furniture, because DublDom is fully ready for use – there already have all the necessary furniture, fixtures and equipment. DublDom can be transported on a truck with manipulator and thus it is not a property that allows you to install it without permits and approvals. Also the house can be put in one area and then transported to another. It takes one to three days to set the house. Construction uses only environmentally friendly materials.
